Isaac’s Fun Run for MDA

On a cool and sunny Saturday morning in October, classmates, friends, and family of 3rd grader Isaac Hennessy came together for the Isaac Fun Run, part of our HomEComing weekend. 

The Isaac Fun Run was organized to provide a way for the EC community to encourage Isaac and his family, in their battle against Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy.  We also wanted to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association in their efforts to fund research and stand with families like the Hennessy’s. 

Because of the EC community’s strong support of this event, Eastern Christian was able to present a check, for $3,500 the Ashley Thorpe, representing MDA at the elementary school chapel on Tuesday morning. Joining Isaac for this check presentation was his parents, Jim and Krista Hennessy and David Visbeen and Katie Tarta from The Foundation for ECSA, organizer of the Isaac Fun Run. 

Thanks to all involved in this loving show of love and support for Isaac and the Hennessy family!
